Sharon Hart Strickland was born and raised in the St. Louis area, where she spent the first twenty years of her life. Filled with a fascination for the Great American West, she spent the next decade living in and exploring Oregon, California, and finally Idaho, where she fell in love with a native son and put down roots. Sharon has been writing throughout her life. She attended college in Oregon and Idaho, and has honed her writing skills over many years as a professional administrative assistant, office manager and certified paralegal. As a member of the Idaho Writers’ League, she has won awards for her short stories and poetry. Sharon and her husband, Rick, live in their dream house, built with their own blood, sweat and tears, on a hillside in Idaho. They are active in church and community musical endeavors, and family events. They have been blessed with three children, four grandchildren, and two adopted dogs. “The Kiss” (2019) is Sharon’s second book. Her first, “The Third Step” was published in 2013.
